Blueberry Cream Cheese Cookies with a Lemon Glaze

I celebrated a special event today with some of my favorite blog friends. Our friend in Something Swanky has a boy! So we will give a virtual baby shower to celebrate. I want to bring some delicious cakes and Creamy Cheese Cake Blueberries are perfect!

I am very happy to hear that Ashton has a son. Having two sons, I feel like a professional in the boys department. They are very fun! I have to learn how to hunt insects, go to monster truck shows, and break one or two nails digging up the ground. The boys are very sweet and I can't wait to meet Ashton's bundle!

When I think about what to do for Ashton, I think blue. And then it becomes involved in something that is' blue'berry. And blueberries are perfect for this year. But have you ever eaten blueberries in a cake ?! Wow like whoa. This feels like a blueberry muffin and a baby cake. Ha.

The cookie base is perfection. Soft, swollen and chewy and the cream cheese in it is amazing. Blueberries only explode in your mouth with every bite and make the cake moist and soft.

I can't stop eating it, they are so delicious. But the lemon glaze added to it is the perfect finishing touch for these cakes. Lemon and blueberries are very suitable together and a little lemon is very refreshing.

These cookies are soft and springy and very perfect. I know that you will love them too!

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• ½ cup butter, softened
• 4 oz cream cheese
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2½ flour cups
• 1 teaspoon of baking soda
• 1 teaspoon of baking powder
• Asp teaspoon salt
• 2 cups of blueberries

Lemon Glaze:

• 1½ cups powdered sugar
• 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
• 1 Tablespoon Milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• zest of one lemon

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. A cookie sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking spray.

In a large bowl of cream together with sugar, butter, and cream cheese until smooth. Add in egg and vanilla and beat until incorporated.

In another medium, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt bowls. Beat the ingredients into the wet ingredients until incorporated. Gently fold in blueberries.

Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let it cool on a wire rack.

TO make the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, milk, vanilla and lemon zest. Drizzle on top of cookies.
