I like this recipe. I haven't made it in a while and when I think about what we can share on the next channel and blog it surprises me! Crock Pot Pepper Jack Chicken! I have been making this dish for years in various forms. It does have a few unusual ingredients for dishes like this, BUT believe me it's great!

Sometimes when we go adventuring we are not sure how long we will be away from the caravan. Slow cookers with "warm" settings (like our Ninja) that kick after cooking time are a savior for that period. However, as many "warm" features can save the day, they can also dry the dishes (I see you chicken breasts ...) if you are not careful. That's one reason we like to cook with chicken thighs (or beef) at that time. Dishes that require chicken thighs or beef tend to be able to survive cooking beyond the original cooking time better than chicken breast or pork.

HOW TO MAKE A JACK CHPPEN IN A CROCK POT

Making this dish in the slow cooker is very simple. You can simply put the chicken in a slow 6 liter cooking season and a layer on the vegetables. Cook the dish over low heat for 4-6 hours until the chicken is easily chopped when stirring. Sprinkle the cheese and cook over high until the cheese melts. Cistern! Very easy and very good.

All frozen green beans may seem like a strange addition, but believe it is very good. We always use frozen beans whole. Fresh beans are likely to become crisper and canned will give a completely different texture.

You can use cheese that is different from pepper jack, but then the dish will not become chicken pepper;).
You can use chicken breast instead of skinless thighs without skin, but the cooking time is probably smaller than thigh. Keep a close watch so you don't dry the chicken breast.
As with our recipes, the number of calories and nutritional information varies greatly depending on which product you choose to use when cooking this dish.
All slow cookers cook differently, so cooking time is always a basic guideline and must always be tested in your own slow cooker and the time is adjusted as needed

Ingredients

• 3-4 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 2 tsp cumin
• salt and pepper to taste
• 10 oz frozen whole green beans
• 1 bell pepper seeded and sliced
• 8 oz fresh mushrooms-sliced
• 1/4 Butter Cup
• 10 Slices Pepper Jack Cheese

Instructions

Place chicken in the bottom of a slow cooker 6 quart and season with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin and salt and pepper.

Layer of frozen green beans, then mushrooms and peppers.

Season again with salt and pepper, top with butter and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the chicken is shreddable when stirred.

Stir chicken until shredded and then top with cheese on the cook on high until the cheese melts.
